U.S. EMBASSY LOME SMALL GRANT PROGRAM 2021

Description:

The U.S. Embassy in Lome-Togo through this Notice of Funding Opportunity is pleased to announce that funding is available through its Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program. This is an Annual Program Statement, outlining our funding priorities, the strategic themes we focus on, and the procedures for submitting requests for funding. Please carefully follow all instructions below. Purpose of Small Grants: PAS Lome invites proposals for programs that strengthen cultural ties between the U.S. and Togo through cultural and exchange programming that highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation. All programs must include an American cultural element, or connection with American expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives.

Examples of PAS Small Grants Program programs include, but are not limited to:
• Academic and professional lectures, seminars and speaker programs;
• Artistic and cultural workshops, joint performances and exhibitions;
• Cultural heritage conservation and preservation programs;
• Professional and academic exchanges and programs;

Priority Program Areas:

Programs should support at least one of the following ICS goals:

Goal 1– Advance Peace and Security,
Goal 2 – Promote Trade and Economic Growth,
Goal 3 – Strengthen Governance and Democratic Institutions &
Goal 4 – Support Opportunity and Development

Title: Democratic and Political participation of Women and Girls for a more stable, inclusive, and prosperous Togo.

Executive Summary:
The U.S. Embassy in Lomé, Togo, through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), is pleased to announce an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a program to promote democratic and political participation of women and girls for a more stable, inclusive, and prosperous Togo by strengthening their ability to exercise their rights. A Grant for up to $250,000.00 U.S. Dollars (USD) in FY 2020 Economic Support Funds (ESF) will be awarded (pending availability of funds) for work that will support program objectives in section A.2.
The period of performance is one (01) year.
Funding authority rests in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961.
Priority Region: All regions of Togo.
