On Friday, August 28th, 45 new Peace Corps Volunteers took their oath for a two year commitment to Togo in Environmental Action and Food Security, Community Health and the Prevention of Malaria, and English and Gender Education. The total number of Peace Corps Volunteers has now reached 85.

In Togo, Volunteers serve in rural and peri-urban communities, devoting two or more years of their lives to grassroots community development and the attainment of Peace Corps’ Mission – the promotion of peace and friendship worldwide.
